Victory Temple UHC's Missionary Department

Victory Temple also supports a number of organizations within the community.  These organizations are touching lives of those who are in need or hurting.  Click on each to learn more...

One of the desires of our church is to "Reach Out" to others within our city, to build relationships, extend love and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We recognize that as disciples of Christ we are called by the Lord to serve.

Here at Victory Temple UHC, there are a few ways in which we strive to be of service to the Lord and to others:

"Edible Encouragement" -  Every other month,  we prepare food and drinks to distribute into the community for those who may be in need.  We also offer words of encouragement, prayer and the message of the love of Jesus.

"Neighborhood Clean Up" - Once a month, we clean the block that our church is located on, inviting our neighbors to join in with us.

"Love Bags" - Our love bags are a simple way to show God's love to those in need.   Each bag is filled with toiletry items such as tooth brushes, soap and deodorant - non-perishable foods like granola bars, dried fruit, drink mixes - and practical items like stamped envelopes, a first aid kit, and a water bottle.

"Nursing Home Ministry" - We share a heartfelt desire to see the salvation of nursing home residents—a distressed and often forgotten group of people. We visit and encourage residents by bringing them the Word, worship, and much-enjoyed fellowship.

"Hospital Ministry" - We are committed to ministering the love and compassion of Jesus Christ through personal hospital visits.  Our "Prayer Warriors"  bring encouragement, prayer and the healing power of Jesus Christ to the sick and shut- in, in the hospital or home.
